About Our Club

​

Kuranda Horse and Pony Club is one of 13 clubs that forms Zone 18 in North Qld under PCQ.

 

It was back in the 70’s, that a group of locals decided to form a pony club.

​

In the late 80’s - early 90’s it acquired its home ground at Mantaka Park in Myola, set amongst the beautiful rainforest of Kuranda,

where it still is today.

​

Through a lot of hard work, getting the earthworks done, building the clubhouse and setting up the grounds, it was the beginning of what was to become the family centered club we enjoy. We have a large dressage arena as well as a huge flat arena to practice our jumping, sporting events and games.

 

It was in 1994 that the club registered for the colours of Navy blue and white it was approved and remains as our club colours still to this day.

 

The club has always had great community support and has been involved in many things, like the Anzac parades most years since the 90’s.

 

This club, along with a long list of dedicated volunteers have made the club what it is today, a great friendly fun learning centre for all horse like-minded people.
